Former South Korean President Kim Dae-Jung Dies At Age 85
North Korea Pays Its Respects
August 21st, 2009
Reports say he died of pneumonia and other complications. He passed away Tuesday, August 18, and is the second former South Korean President to die this year. Rumor has it that North Korean leader Kim Jong-Il respected Nobel Peace Prize winner Kim Dae-Jung for his “Sunshine Policy” which tried to reunite the two divided countries while he was President in 2000. Kim Jong-Il sent his deepest condolences to South Korea. What a great guy. First, he lets two reporters off the hook after former U.S. President Bill Clinton makes a visit this year, now this? Is Kim Jong-Il’s heart softening up a bit?
