South Korea’s First Space Rocket Launch
Postponed Until Further Notice
August 20th, 2009

I’m sure North Korea will be watching as its rival South Korea prepares to launch its first rocket into space. It was ready to blast off on Wednesday but the countdown was terminated due to a technical glitch. When South Korea finally gets it right, it will soon compete with other Asian nations with spaceflight technology such as India, China, and Japan. South Korea has already launched satellites using rockets from other countries, and also sent an astronaut into space on a Russian Soyuz rocket in April of 2008.
