Super Ramen Noodles
Invented by North Korea
October 19th, 2008
Do you ever get hungry again not too long after eating a bowl of your favorite ramen? It happens to me all the time. I’d eat some Shin-Ramen, and I’m starving an hour later! It’s very unhealthy. And what may even be unhealthier is this new super food that was created to help sustain North Korea’s hunger problem. Scientists from North Korea have developed a special kind of ramen noodle made to keep a person feeling full for a long time. Rather than using just traditional ingredients such as corn and wheat, the new super noodle is made from soybeans and contains more than twice the amount of protein and five times the amount of fat than normal. The noodles will soon be available all across North Korea. What a way to save on food costs! A Korean newspaper, Choson Shinbo said this is a technological breakthrough. I wonder if other ramen manufacturers will soon follow?
